Hi everyone, thank you for coming! I'm Ashley, work at home mother of 2 girls and the designer and co-founder of Bella Bare Wear, stylish and functional snap-change swimwear. If you have ever taken a little girl to the beach, I know you can relate to my story...

When our daughter Bella was born we would take her to the beach every weekend. We all dreaded the inevitable diaper change! We had it down to a routine, my husband would hold her up, I pulled down the suit, and then the swim diaper, wiped her little tush in the air, quickly pulled up a new diaper, and struggled to get the wet suit back on her little body. The first time I took her to the beach by myself, I decided there had to be a better way. That is how Bella Bare Wear's Snap-Change Swimsuits came to be!

Hooray, the answer to our prayers, a bathing suit with snaps! After working out designs with a seamstress and making prototype after prototype, we finally figured out the cutest and and most functional way to change a diaper at the beach! It will now be just as easy as changing one at home without fussing over a wet suit and a wiggly toddler! After testing it out with a group of moms, they all agreed, they could never go back to a snap-less bathing suit again! We also learned that big girls would have an easier time using the bathroom without having to drop their suit on the dirty public restroom floor! Yes, snaps are the answer to all of summers hard problems!

We pride ourselves in offering high quality American made products that are both functional and stylish! We source and manufacture our products directly from Los Angeles, in the heart of the Fashion District.

During the initial run of Bella Bare Wear, we sold about 100 suits. We had amazing reviews, and were featured in Mothering Magazine and on Good Morning America. As business steadily increased, lack of time and capital were the main reasons for putting the business on hold. Fast forward a couple years, two Undergraduate degrees, a year deployment and another baby girl, we now have time to invest into making Bella Bare Wear the most beautiful and innovative children's swimwear line ever. That is where Kickstarter comes in, an extremely innovative way to crowd fund our project.

We are looking for a minimum fund of $13,500, this amount will allow us to get professional templates created, satisfy our backers rewards, and be able to purchase enough product to sell over the summer and keep Bella Bare Wear rolling into 2014. While our minimum on Kickstarter to be successful is $13,500, we have set up stretch goals to provide additional feedback for backers when we reach them. Remember, Kickstarter is an all or nothing site. We must reach our goal for our line to be produced! We really appreciate you backing us to make this possible and providing moms everywhere with the opportunity to own a Bella Bare Wear snap-change swimsuit for their little one!

How to order through rewards 

We are offering our line at HIGHLY discounted rates in order to meet our initial order amount to manufacture our line! Please see the rewards section on the right to learn about our different packages. The prices and packages available here are for Kickstarter ONLY and will NOT be available on our website. After our project is funded, we will send out an order survey for you to pick which style and size you want. By ordering now you are securing this price on your suit/cover-up/package and allowing us to produce these for you!

Monogramming

Please add an additional $8 to your order for each item you would like monogrammed. We offer one and three letter monogramming in Curlz and French Script. You will have the option to pick which font and tell us what letters you want monogrammed on the survey sent out at the end of the project.

Along with our Kickstarter goal, we will also be offering more products and different rewards if we reach those higher amounts. When we reach $25,000 you will have the option of getting your bathing suit made in a fourth fabric combination, voted on by you as one of our backers! At $50,000 we can expand to offering big sister suits starting at size 5 for our 2014 line! When we reach $75,000 we will give each backer that ordered at least a swimsuit a free sunhat for your little girl, and at $100,000 free sandals for all backers purchasing at least a swimsuit!

Bella Bare Wear is offering a unique package for Boutiques and Retailers that would like to be the first to carry the 2013 line.
