Thank you SO much for all your support - we are both humbled and amazed at everyone's generosity and support of our project!

This means - the bees and trees are on their way!  We promise to share photos of our continuing adventures (being chased by bees, digging infinite holes in the ground, and general mayhem of farm work!).

If we can meet a funding goal of another $1500, we can restore an entire acre of prairie  this year!  The actual cost of an acre of recreated prairie is $4500, but we are working with the local government to cost-share some of seeding and installation, and have been saving up ourselves.  With your help, we will be able to seed an entire field with over 100 species of native grasses and wildflowers.  If you're curious, you can learn more about the seed mix here : http://www.prairiemoon.com/seed-mixes/grand-diversity-mixed-height-prairie/?cat=387

You can see the seeds themselves are almost $2245 per acre. Many seeds are rare and often have to be collected by hand !

Also!  If we can meet our new goal of raising $3000, we will upgrade all current backer rewards! For instance, larger paintings, your choice of animal species, or surprise gifts, for instance.  We really appreciate everyone's support in making this happen, it means so much to us and our farm!
