Do you know who wrote the song you're listening to? For a lot of country artists, they look to songwriters to create the magical tunes that make you stomp your feet, crack open a beverage, fall in love, or shed a tear. I'm a songwriter who is breaking into the country music scene in Nashville, and I need your help.

I have 5 new songs that are ready to be recorded. Total cost? $3,500

What I'm doing - 

Simply put, I write songs and they need to be recorded professionally. I've written 5 new songs that have been re-written, edited, submitted for revision, re-edited... and now they are ready to be professionally recorded. This process will cost $3,500. If I surpass my goal, I will record even more tunes, or I'll be able to add more instruments to the recording (Fiddle,Banjo,etc). Each song I've created goes through a rough revision and review process by the hit songwriters at Nashville Songwriters Association. Once I've got a song that is deemed worthy, I'll have to pitch it to people. When you pitch a song to artists it has to be the highest quality so they can get a real sense of how it will sound. I have the songs. Now I need to get all of these songs  into a professional demo. I've done this with two songs, and I have 5 or 6 more that need to be recorded.

How I'm going about this - 

I'm going to get my songs recorded. I have a wonderful studio (Beaird Music Group) in Nashville who has worked with amazing hit artists such as: Lady Antebellum, Carrie Underwood, Reba, and Blake Shelton. I take my songs to them, and have their amazing musicians and pro vocalists record the song so that it is ready to get into the hands of the publishers and artists. The studio will even set up meetings for me.

How the funds will be used - 

The funds are going straight to the recording studio to cover the costs of recording. They have some great packages available. If I get a bunch of songs recorded, they'll lower the price. My goal is to record 5 of my current songs. I have more to record, so any additional funding will allow me to record more songs.

How far along the project is - 

The songs are written so I just need the funding in place, and to book the studio. With your help, once I've reached my goal I'll be booking the studio times.
