Who I am
Hi,
My name Ryan and I am relatively new to the world of ceramics. I started out as a geology major hoping to become a paleontologist, this had been my plan for awhile but one night my friend offered to teach me how to throw, soon I found my self taking any ceramics course I could. Now two years later I am developing a line of ceramics with some sgraffito work, I would really love to see how these pieces evolve but in order for that to happen I need your help.
My studio is almost done, I have an old kick wheel and wedging table all I need now is a kiln and some glazes. And that is where you come in, a small donation will help me move forward, enabling me to see where this line will go
What will I do if I reach my goal?
If I reach my goal, not only will I have a kiln to do shows, but I also will be able to fire work to help the local historical societies. It will allow me to fire time appropriate pieces to show at events. Right now I am trying to become more invovled with several 18th and 19th century restoration/ reenactment organizations in hopes that I will be able to use my skills to teach people about ceramics, the process as well as the history.
Thanks you for your support,
Ryan
