iHeartLocalMusic.com is a website that covers local music events in the Lawrence, Kansas, and Kansas City area. We help bring attention to artists, their work and their events. The goal is to document and showcase the local music community using videos of live performances, photos and interviews with musicians. Our site has helped bring some much needed attention to local artists and their work, and encourages the community to see their live shows.
This Kickstarter project will be raising money for photo and video equipment for the website. Currently, we rent some of our equipment. This is proving to be too costly. We want to give all local musicians the coverage they deserve using our new equipment.
