I wish I had more money to give. I know we reached the goal but the film looks so good from those select scenes that I want to see it in Salt Lake and the festival. I can't wait to get the DVD so I watch it with my friends

Personally I'm doing pledging my $50 as a bit of a thank you. I've known Hey Ash What'cha Playin for a long time and enjoyed it immensely and, from there, I found Ashly's brother's discussions about games as a medium and in a lot of ways it inspired me to take game design far more seriously and as of now I'm actually doing a speech in my college on that very topic.
I really loved Ashly's acting and comedy as well so you guys get my full support. Great videos by the way.
P.S. I like dinosaurs too. :)

I think I can answer both your questions. I don't want to step on Dominic's toes here, but the Kickstarter goal is one-third of our budget and is ultimately what will get our production started. That's why, for me, this type of fund raising is so exciting, but also quite nerve-racking. If we don't reach our Kickstarter goal by the end date, the money doesn't go through. But we've looked into a few different avenues of finding funds. So the additional two-thirds of our budget is theoretically in place, but we don't have a dime of it in the bank yet. This is a low-budget independent film, so we have to utilize every penny and the more money we raise, the less of a stretch it'll be. The budget will go toward pre-production, cast, crew, equipment, craft services, and post-production. Then hopefully we'll have enough left for festivals!!!

Is this $10,000 being lumped into the $30,000 pool to cover any all all film expense, or are there specific things this $10,000 is being used for (transportation, food services, etc.)?
The funding is in place. Kickstarter is being used for remaining funds.
"We need to raise $30,000 before going into production at the end of July, help us raise the first $10,000"
Are you saying that you will be asking for 10k on 2 more occasions before you start the project?
Or are you guys funding the remaining 20k yourself after this kickstart?
