I just wanted to say hello and check in with everybody.
The CDs and T Shirts are ALMOST done and I will be signing everything soon.
The tour is going great. It started a little rocky for me as I never got a rehearsal or even a full soundcheck until I was onstage in front of thousands. But now 2 weeks in, I AM ON. And having a blast. I wouldn't be here without YOU!!!! THANK YOU.

We are shooting a video in LA next week for Spanish Teenager with Jake Shears. Luke Gilford is directing this first video off of the album.

Everyone's help is really making me emotional. There are so many people involved in this project that are working for free or in good faith and busting there asses. I've had a rough year. Labels folding, getting screwed out of money, budgets gone a wry, debts looming. I'm not going to lie, I wasn't sure how to keep going. How I could keep working as an artist.

I have positioned myself in a very strange (but interesting) place. What I do, what I make and who I am are kinda hard to define. I like that BUT it does not appeal to business interests. Either in art or entertainment.

I have felt stuck. Hence the title and concept of the last FS tour BETWEEN WORLDS.

I wasn't sure if making my need for financial support publicly was going to be a total embarrassment. I have feared some sort of judgement. I had no choice but to let that go and ask for help.

All I want to say is....I feel like the world is somehow aligning to make the impossible possible and you are a big part of that.

YOU are really making everything happen! 2 weeks ago when The Scissor Sisters asked me to open for them with this new material I said, "NO WAY! How the hell are we going to pull this off?! I got no label, no sponsor, no money and no time.!!!! We can't pull this off." AND here we are just a short time later MOVING FORWARD like a steamroller on fire.

I have released music every possible way you can. From burning CDs and hand delivering them to record stores (remember those) to small independent labels to large independent labels to major labels. I have been there and done that. And what I have learned is every way of releasing music is flawed in it's own way. Something about knowing that no one way is perfect makes me excited to embrace whatever limitations or challenges are before me and do a kick ass job.

I have wanted for a long time to step outside of any of these old systems and try something new. Try going direct to my audience and really embrace new technology. It is a risk and it is scary but it is super exciting. I feel more connected. Everything feels less abstract. I am ready to re-invent in this new world order.
