About this project

Logline: With bodies piling up, two detectives risk everything, including each other, to catch a psychotic killer.

"Feline Frenzy" is a short film that is part noir crime thriller, part dark comedy that we are shooting at the end of February. It's a nearly classic whodunnit with one final twist. The script, written with Carrie Miller, is finished with actors and crew already attached to the project with more to follow. Please see below or check the updates for our cast and crew list.

We are trying to raise funds to cover equipment expenses, like lighting, and props and wardrobe. We are fortunate enough to have Simone Scalici on board to build us certain equipment, like a steady cam, and design some lighting in the noir-style. We also need funding to cover props and wardrobe, like the ubiquitous fedora and duster. We were also able to lock down all of our locations free of charge. Our Director of Photography, Jennie Jeddry, owns a few different cameras, including a 16mm, but we might be limited to digital.

The attached trailer is true to the mood and style of "Feline Frenzy." The music is from Robert Siodmak's "The Killers." The trailer was shot in one evening on a consumer camcorder and edited in another evening. We are scheduled to shoot the weekends of February 27th and 28th and March 6th and 7th. We would like to finish post-production in time to make entry deadlines for several film festivals.

Our goal is pretty low for a twenty minute short, so feel free to keep giving even after we have achieved it. Every dollar over the goal can only make our movie better!
