Feature documentary film about a quadriplegic man and his double amputee fiance. It's a love story full of inspiration, hope & humor!

"Stilts & Spokes" is an inspirational documentary about how two people (Jay Cramer, Katy Sullivan) deal with their physical disabilities in order to achieve greatness in their lives and community. What makes this story more unique is the fact that they fell in love with each other despite the day-to-day challenges that they each face.  Jay is a stand-up comedian & winner of LA's Funniest Comic, & Katy is a legless sprinter, competing in the Summer Olympics in London 2012. Follow Jay & Katy all the way to the alter in this amazing triumph of the human spirit.

We already have paid for the production and are only looking for finishing funds for post-production. We need the money to pay for music rights, editing, sound mixing, & some initial marketing.  We have established relationships with industry people which should open some doors. (The advantages of living in Los Angeles!) 

We have already received 1000's of hits since we released the trailer on YouTube, which gives us speculation that this is going to be a huge hit.  Nevertheless, this excitement makes us realize even more that people are interested in this subject & want to hear about stories that are positive & motivating!

  • How long was production of the film & what was it like shooting?

    We shot for almost 9 months following Jay & Katy telling their interesting & intimate story. What's interesting to find out is that one would think from an outside perspective that they have a physical disability, but the more you spend time with them, one realizes that this isn't true. Maybe the real disability comes from people who may not understand. You know that saying "in the eyes of the beholder"....hummm?
