About this project
Working title "Olympic Dreams" chronicles the formation of the Ecuadorian National Water Polo team. It all started with Dave Delgado's dream, his many phone calls, and persistance. From official negotiations with Ecuadorian dignitaries that always ended with rejection, to the strict requirements he faced once someone finally said "ok." Then came the harder part of getting sponsors, uniforms, and the team itself, together. Young American athletes from Southern California, as well as several pulled from Ecuador, make up the team. Their goal: the South American Championships in Belem Brazil...and maybe even the Olympics.

I'm not a professional filmmaker and only have the bug because my father Paul who was an actor / stuntman and my great uncle Glen who was a recognized cinematographer in the 40s. and 50s. I believe by capturing this raw footage documenting the story of Dave Delgado and his group of players will inspire other to chase a dream. This is a work of love and support for the team and we believe a compelling story with many challenges along the way. This teams country has had little faith in its success and has put up road blocks at every corner. With help from friends and an award winning writer we are tasked with documenting the ups and downs of this journey to the South American Championship in Belem Brazil and and hopefully a chance to play in the 2012 Olympic Games and we truly believe this is the catalyst of a amazing story.
