Hey, Ian -- I poked around on the forums and figured it out. Do you have a beta key? If so, log into Steam, go to the Games menu, and select "Activate a product on Steam". When it asks you to, enter your beta key. After about thirty seconds of whirring and clicking, it'll say that the game is permanently associated with your Steam account. And then it starts downloading.
Now, this could just end up being a beta... but I have the feeling not. :D
