This is a fan video tribute for the show Arrested Development that focuses on David Cross’ character Tobias Funke
Tobias Funke's Assistant is a short film about one man’s desire and belief that he is the perfect person to be David Cross’ assistant. This man will do whatever he can to prove it through his delusions of grandeur and intense love for all of Mr. Cross’ characters, specifically Tobias Funke’ of Arrested Development. Watch as he struggles to relay that he is just the right guy for the job. Find out if this deluded guy can make a believer out of David Cross (assuming he’s not too busy to respond because he’s filming Alvin and the Chipmunks part 11.) But at the very least it’s one passionate fan’s attempt to give an Arrested Development video tribute.
After years and years of the continuous rumors, they have finally announced a clear concrete plan to film an Arrested Development movie. Fans have been clamoring for it forever and although it got to the point where it almost felt like it was never going to happen, Mitch Hurwitz the creator has finally announced his plan to film a short season of Arrested Development followed by a Feature Length film and distribute it through Netflix with the original cast intact.

I have followed the show since its inception and had a hard time swallowing how underrated the show was. It was a huge disappointment when they canceled the show and announced they wouldn't shop themselves to another network.
Having a live-action show come back from the dead years later is virtually impossible and to have all of the original cast returning even though they all have very promising film careers (since they Arrested Development ended) is purely remarkable. I am so excited about the new Arrested Development movie and season that I wanted to channel my excitement into a fan tribute video. A lot of die hard fans of TV shows/movies are making fan tributes and having great responses from it. I just want to share my enthusiasm with other fans. I would always hear about how many people love Arrested Development but never really came across anyone who appreciated it aside from a very select few. So I thought this could be a unique opportunity to spread my excitement and unite the fans of Arrested Development.
I wanted to channel my excitement into a fan tribute video and recently, a lot of die hard fans of “non-mainstream” shows are making fan tributes and having great responses from it. I just want to share my enthusiasm with other fans. It’d be nice to speak to people who love this show and aren't apart of the 23 million who consistently tune in to 2 in a half men. I don’t understand how that is the number one comedy. Arrested Development was the funniest show ever!
So we are setting out to make a funny tribute as a way of giving back and saying thank you for all the amazing Arrested Development memories.
