A Mother's Worth is an inspirational picture book for all ages written with simple, yet powerful, text and illustrated with heartwarming photographs. It reaffirms that a mother's worth can't be calculated by examining her bank account. Mother's have many jobs to do and their reward is in the form of love, not money.

The images used to illustrate the book promote racial diversity. Since breastfeeding is a natural part of motherhood one image depicts a child at the breast.

I would like it if mother's were able to adhere a picture of their own children on the last page of the book that states, "The smiling faces of her children are a mother's greatest treasures."

Publishing:

In order to publish this I need to purchase the stock photography photos that illustrate the concepts in it. That will cost about $300. Then I would need to have the interior and cover designed professionally since I don't have those skills. Cost: approx. $800.  (Although, I am feeling fairly proud of the temporary cover one of my sons helped me create!)

I plan to publish the book  as a print-on-demand with createspace.com.  There are other expenses that would be incurred: ISBN $99; Kindle File Conversion Service - $69.00; LCCN assignment - $49.00; Expanded Distribution - $25.00.

I also need funds to cover the Kickstarter fees, the rewards I am offering and to be able to order 100 copies of the book.  The grand total equals about $1,700.

If pledges exceed my goal, there are many projects I could choose from to apply the funds toward.  I could possibly create a website that has templates with quotes from the book for mothers to insert their own photos so they could be printed. However, I could also use any excess funds toward producing my heart's delight -  a cd of lullabies!!
