Greetings! I am Antonio Truyols and I am a pianist and composer living in Greensboro, NC. Welcome to my Kickstarter page.

In the fall of 2008, I began my freshman year at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I soon met my two closest friends to this day, bassist Joseph Dickey and drummer Daniel Faust. We came together to form a piano trio by the name of Unit Three. Over the last four years we have performed all over the east coast and internationally.  We earned the title of Best Band in the Bucharest International Jazz Competition in Romania, and we recently received the Downbeat award for best Jazz arrangement. I wanted to put my compositions down on a CD and I particularly wanted to do it with Unit Three along with other incredible musicians. They include: Johnny Fung on guitar, Jesse Williams on drum set, Annalise Stalls on alto saxophone, Lynn Grisset Jr. on trumpet, Leslie “Pinky” Simmons on clarinet, Laura Dawalt and Margarita Ossorio on vocals as well as Devine Harmony, Greensboro’s premier gospel choir. Estela Velez, director of the Furia Flamenca dance company in Washington D.C. also appears on the album with her rhythmic flamenco feet.  We have begun recording and are almost finished but running out of funds fast.

Now, in order to complete the process of releasing this recording, I'm asking for your help.

Kickstarter is a project-funding website which allows us to work together to make this happen.  But it's an all-or-nothing situation.  If I do not meet or exceed my goal of $4,400 by the deadline, no money changes hands, no rewards are given, and the album stays on the shelf.  I am confident that we can bring this project to fruition by meeting the goal. I am keeping this project’s costs as low as possible by using all original compositions (avoiding mechanical licensing fees), and doing all the artwork and graphic design myself.
