The mobile pool party brings together crazy bicycle hackery, blistery hot Brooklyn afternoons, and watery fun. We'll be rolling into various Brooklyn neighborhoods, firing up the jambox & BBQ, and inviting passersby to join us for a dip, a dog, or just to hang out and enjoy the breeze.

We need your help and assistance to make the dream a reality—we'll be getting a small trailer to build the pool on, welding a trailer mechanism to attach the bikes with, building the pool from wood, metal, and vinyl. There's also some trickiness to working fire hydrants, and we're shooting to minimize the amount of money we spend on permits/hardware, while also minimizing our chances of swimming while in handcuffs. Your love and support are the only thing that will keep us out of prison. Our mission is to make the pool a reality in mid-June.

Darren and I have done plenty of crazy projects before (from bike mayhem, street art, to founding writing clubs, to helping start the first ROFLCon, among other things), plus we have a team of gnarly scientists and engineers backing us up for the build.
