About this project
Knee-Jerk is a literary journal that publishes new fiction and creative nonfiction by both emerging and established writers; interviews with established writers and artists on craft and process; Reviews of Things, humorous reviews of anything at all that function as essays-in-disguise; and color comics and illustrations.
Since July 2009, we've published quality content online at www.kneejerkmag.com. Last year, we expanded into print with Knee-Jerk Offline VOL 1. Now our second annual print edition has been edited, designed, and laid out and is ready for the printers.
This volume features nearly 200 pages (including color illustrations) of all new content from some of our favorite writers and artists:

*About The Risk-Taking Gene: In Steve Tomasula's The Risk-Taking Gene, a man attempts to discover what genetic predispositions lead to his young subject's dangerous lifestyle. The story, told in alternating narratives, features design and illustration -- including DNA coding, Scantron forms, and action movie storyboards -- by Graham Ebetsch.
