Without A Shadow is the story of a Depression Era farmer who accidentally shoots down the Moon with a mysterious rifle. The blazing hot Sun immediately rises to a menacing fixed position, causing his pregnant wife to fall ill and his life sustaining crops to burn away.  Conditions worsen and the couple fears starvation and the imminent death of their unborn child.  Anthony has no choice but to seek aid from the Navajo shaman who gave him the rifle and perform a ceremonial offering to realign the balance of nature that he so carelessly disturbed.

Who we are:

Our film crew is a collaboration of graduating seniors, a faculty of industry veterans, and reputable Hollywood businesses that bridge the careers of dedicated students into the professional production arena. As emerging filmmakers, we are set on creating visually compelling and story rich films which have the capacity to inspire and educate through the products we deliver. 

How your donation is making an impact:

a) The complexity and ambition for this film calls for numerous and meticulous elements to bring out the story and your pledge will help us achieve its full potential. Although this is a student level short film, all production matters are being treated like a professional Hollywood production.

b) Our art department requires distinctive props and set design to achieve the authenticity of the Great Depression Era. Panavision has been so generous to donate a camera to leaving us with film stock, lighting equipment and expendables to pay for. 

c) We've also had the fortunate opportunity to bring on roughly 40 top industry talent both on the professional and student level to donate their time and skills to our production week. In return we'd like to assure our cast & crew are fed well and hydrated. The health and safety of our community is important to us as well. We will be in strenuous outdoor elements therefore we'd like to bring on a Fire Safety Officer and EMT to our set.

Going Green:

As emerging leaders in the filmmaking industry we've been very passionate about influencing the communities around us, and has such joined forces with CSUN Sustainability to incorporate the film experience with on campus programs.  We believe this relationship, our mentorship by Eco-friendly professionals, and the messages of the film will give us the opportunity to educate, empower, and entertain audiences and fellow crews concerning environmental sustainability.
