Kickstarter

For many years now, I have been creating more music and finding pieces from other musicians that I want to share. Having been unable to afford the costs of recording and pressing on my own, the hoped-for CD(s) were in limbo. I've now teamed up with Crafted Recordings (who works partially for barter, bless him!) and Authentic Voices Studio (my sweet friend!) to create some amazing recordings. With this Kickstarter campaign and your kind assistance, my musical dreams will become a reality!

As for the upcoming CDs...

Skinshifter will be a compilation of songs written both by me and by others. This will include our version of Let the Way be Open by Abbi Spinner McBride and Fanga by Babatunde Olatunji (featuring drummers and vocalists from Concord Drum & Dance), my version of Greensleeves that I rewrote into The Green Man, Mists: Morgaine's Passage, and more... 15 songs in all!

Reverence & Mirth will be, as you may have guessed, half reverence and half goofiness. I've entertained/tortured you with my silly songs for years... now you get to listen to them any time you want, and inflict the pain on others!  :o)  This CD will include a spoken-word piece to the Warrior Goddess called The Fourth Face, a Yule tune I wrote to The Holly and the Ivy renamed The Holly and the Oak King, a haunting 3-part song called Goddess's Promise, and a hypnotic mix of Pagan chants that I named Gallimaufry. The Mirth side will include Beltane Blues, Isaac Bonewit's The Dagda's Mighty Club, my creation (with apologies to Gilbert and Sullivan) called The Pagan Pattersong, and Thank Gods I'm A Pagan Child. And more, of course! There will be 18 songs on this CD.

This is where your money will go:

Studio Costs: My engineer(s) need to be paid for their time and energy for recording, mixing, and editing. It can be rather time-consuming and some of the larger cost of production.

Pressing: Once the music is recorded, edited, and mixed, it needs to be made into CDs! This includes pressing (copied professionally) and packaging with the covers and liner notes.

Shipping: My shipping costs are not extreme, but the expense is there. Mailing the CDs and paying for the padded envelopes adds to the cost of the whole.
