The Work Is Just Beginning
It's been an amazing two weeks for us here at Signal Flare Games, watching support for our project grow and seeing how quickly we have been able to get within reach of our funding goal. We should soon be able to cross the 100% mark, and we hope the total will continue to grow.
We're not resting on our laurels, though. Indeed, it's so inspirational to see the level of support, that we're working even harder!
Spreading The Word
We are trying to build up our following so we can keep the pledges coming, and also so we can keep in touch with those interested in seeing our project succeed. We hope everyone who has backed us will follow us on Twitter and like our Facebook page to help us to spread the word and increase awareness. We're also working on the website and we'll be adding a mailing list in the coming days.
We will be keeping the traffic modest through all these avenues, so don't worry about getting buried in an avalanche of updates. It's more about spreading our reach as widely as possible, and we need all the help we can get as we get the word out.
And Now For Something New
The finest and most devious minds of FAUST's foremost scientists (and a few brains in jars) are hard at work devising the diabolical machines they set loose on the Wired West. Each robot is a specialist in a particular kind of mayhem, and FAUST's numerous nefarious goals call for teams of robots to work in combination.
First up: FAUST is pleased to reveal the Boxer - a simple-to-build, but tough-as-nails robot. It's clear just by looking at it that the Boxer is built for violence, and its pneumatic arms are jackhammers of destruction, built to beat through walls, knock holes in enemy armor, and dish out a bruising to any opponent in its way. Despite its relatively small stature, this steam-powered pugilist packs a mean punch. Just don't expect it to be using Queensbury rules!
That wraps up this update, but we'll have more art and insights coming soon. We didn't want to end without reiterating how grateful we are to all who have already given us their support and who help us to spread the word about the project. We can't wait to get the game out and see where we can go from here. Thank you all.
