A love letter/satire of slasher movies of the 70's and 80's (and specifically the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series).
Greetings from Lake Pakajanomo, where your package is no mo…..
JUNK BONDS: THE RETURN OF JUNKBUCKET is a loving satire and callback to the horror movies of the 1980’s, a time when horror took chances and limited budgets did not limit imaginations.
JUNK BONDS was designed to deliver to you a movie that pushes every imaginable envelope, giving you things you’ve never seen in horror before while also paying tribute to the movies that came before it. We like to use the term, “charmingly repulsive”.
Thank you for taking the time to check out our project. This film has been a labor of love for some of Seattle’s most gifted actors and filmmakers. I know that if we can just get it in front of an audience, you will be blown away with how hilarious, frightening, and unique it is.
It culminates in an 18 page showdown of a finale, filled with gory action. The final scene will have taken 8 days to shoot by the time it is complete, and each day is filled with a lot of blood and junk. Your donations will ensure we can properly pull off these imaginative showpieces that will have you laughing and retching at the same time.
Also, our lengthy production schedule does not lend itself to an easy post-production period. We’ll need your help to make sure we can make sure this depravity looks and sounds as amazing as it should.
In 2008, Seattle independent film collective, The Beta Society, needed to make a short horror film for their upcoming Halloween show. And even though we only had 7 weeks to write, shoot, and edit the film and literally no budget, Junkbucket (“He’s not a garbage man, but he’s come for your junk”) came out nearly feature length and has been universally loved by all who have seen it. We’ve received great reviews,
been screened at festivals, and even received an invite to submit to the William Morris Agency for distribution. Since the first film was so well received, I knew that if we were ever given the chance to make a sequel with actual time and money, we’d really have something on our hands.
We are proud to be Northwest filmmakers, and all our locations and crew are from right here in Seattle
