Intense Southern thriller seeks to impress movie companies into green-lighting project for feature length production, with your help.
SYNOPSIS: The Beautiful Dead is an intense Southern thriller about a young woman, who on her journey through self discovery, is devastated by a traumatic event. With the help of her widowed father, she struggles to put her fragmented life back together. Unbeknownst to her, a stranger lies in wait. A man with terrifying intentions who will stop at nothing to have her.
WHAT WE'RE DOING: We're filming key segments from the script to showcase my vision for the film and impress the motion picture companies into green-lighting the script for a full feature-length production.
The screenplay was received, by a major script reviewing agency in Los Angeles, as the "highest rated script" to come through their office. The result of which has given me all the passion and drive I needed to get this project underway. We've already spent several months filming a considerable amount of footage and are now seeking funds to complete what has already begun.
WHAT THE MONEY IS FOR: Rental costs for camera equipment; lenses, camera body, Steadicam rig, follow-focus system. Lighting equipment; generator for portable power source, set of 6 Arri lights, stands and gels. Smoke machine, breakaway glass, lumber, flooring, vintage props, wallpaper. Marketing materials; pressing the custom designed 6-panel DigiPak Blu-Ray or DVD cases and silk-screened discs. Printing the mini and full-sized movie posters. Fuel costs for hauling all of the equipment and props to the various sets/locations. Editing Costs; I'll be editing the project myself. However, my free 30 day trial with Adobe Premiere Pro. editing software has just ended and I need money to purchase the program in order to complete my project and get it out there for you and the motion picture companies to see.

Plus, a hand written letter from the writer/director thanking you for your donation, as well as a signed print of an image from the trailer put into a picture frame, selected by the director.
