A black comedy about lust, murder, and politics. You know, your average Thanksgiving.

NEW GOAL- $3,000

Thanks to all our backers for getting us past our initial goal of $2,000.  We are incredibly grateful!

If you are visiting this page for the first time, please don't think we don't need anymore help.  WE DO.  The more money we raise for this project, the more we can do- from paying actors, to entering more film festivals, to marketing the finished film.  If we could raise $3,000, that would be fantastic.

Again, thanks to our backers!

"I think I’ve found a way for us both to get seated at the grown-ups table."     - Alvie

Strong Tea is a dark comedy about family, secrets, and murder.  It takes place during one terrible Thanksgiving dinner.  The story centers around Alvie, his wife Annie, and his sister-in-law Molly.  The dinner is at Alvie's In-laws,  a picture perfect, Martha Stewart meets Norman Rockwell type of place where all the plates match, every course is planned out perfectly, and the seating has been pre-ordained.  But underneath the tasteful exterior there lie secrets, resentment, and all those nastier parts of being a human being.

There are two tables at this dinner, the "Grown-ups Table" and the "Kids Table".  The Grown-ups table is in the dining room- spacious, beautifully set, perfect.  The kids table is in the adjoining room- a card table, with mis-matched plates, very crowded.   There are tons of kids at the Kids Table, and two very out of place adults: Alvie and Annie.   Annie is furious at being seated there, while her younger sister Molly is sitting with the adults.  Alvie, hoping to change things for the better, heads to the kitchen to make tea.  Molly follows him, and secret after family secret comes out, leading to a hilarious, albeit dark, ending.
