Update #7: T-shirts...venue...9 days away to opening: Let Us Pray

Posted on October 5, 2010

Huge steps on the show. It's vastly different that the 2007 version. I love where it's going. Its going to be a miracle to be ready by the 14th.

The t-shirts are going to the hand-screener, Frede Zimmer, aka label owner of PUNK ROCK PAYROLL and a super talented cat. My incredible ASM Kristen hand-picked 111 t-shirts from Philly's best thrift stores so each one will be totally unique. Send me your address if you are not local so I can get you a shirt.

Update #4: 63% FUNDED!! 30 days left

Posted on August 1, 2010

I had an amazing birthday weekend. Not only did a producer team come on board with a very generous pledge, but also offered a space to present the show in October and to rehearse. I am so grateful to you all. Thank You

There is only one month left SO PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!

In other good news, I got the spare parts from the ebay seller and got the tent up today! I wnt inside for a bti, and when I came out A giant leopard butterfly was in the tent. I started to imagine a whole swarm of them and how intoxicating that would be to come upon that as an audience member. A good omen nonetheless.

I also talked with my friend and donor Mike today on skype who was sleeping with his son in their backyard....in a tent..just outside of Munich.

Tent=Party

Love,
marjoe jr

Update #3: Project is 30% Funded! Hallelujah!

Posted on July 27, 2010

Thank you so much to my eternally peaceful, genius of a father dear friend and inspiration Rob, a new friend and oft-healer supporter of the arts Ellliot, and Kathlleen, my dear friend Mike's Mom who always had a smille for me, and Gloria, my infinitely generous and firecracker of a grandmother who turned 85 on monday.

You all have stoked the fire in a magical and very real way.

Thank You

Marjoe Jr

Update #2: Great monentum

Posted on July 24, 2010

Wow. So exciting!

You guys are literally the foundation for the electric house that this Kickstarter campaign has the potential to be.

Thank you so much Gabi (A genius mover and maker of dance theater work), Julia & Stephen (great friends of ours and Lola and huge supporters off all our family does), my long-time friends and beautiful family the Greens, Steve and Phyllis (my awesome grandparents-in-law), Danica (a great friend and supporter, and genius massage artist, Mike (my long lost brother from high school who lives in Germany with his family) and Celeste (an overall arts fan and a lovely surprise supporter).

PS. I tried to set up the tent last night with my good friend Dillon (2.5 sweaty confused hours) only to realize the tent in essence has three left feet. Trying to sort out the missing parts with the ebay seller today.

Amen.

Love and thanks to you all

Marjoe Jr

Kathleen Owens on July 29, 2010

Hi Brian, So pleased to hear about your new project. I have no doubt the funds will arrive by your deadline. It's doubtful I can attend, but I certainly will be there in spirit. What memories I have of you and Mike, and certainly your summer arrival in Florida with plaid wool pants was a highlight! It helped bring a bit of laughter to a sad occasion. Fondly, Kathleen Owens

Update #1: Thank you all

Posted on July 22, 2010

Zani and Milena took me over the 200 mark today. Thank you all for getting this project rolling! I have a good feeling that with this momentum I can get this puppy up in the fall.

I'm going to assemble the tent this weekend and post some pics. Maybe I will buy a pet rabbit and have it live in there until the show is funded. Like a pet hostage. Maybe Not.

Here is a pic of the tent and Marjoe Jr sporting the rad American Flag tie that Stephanie Rowley made.

Pics is by my brother

Love,
Marjoe Jr
