Update #12: Back on Track
Hello my friends --
Let me be the most recent to wish you all a very Happy New Year, and just to get a little ahead of the pack, I'll wish you a Happy Valentines' Day as well!
Due to scheduling difficulties, mainly mine because I was out of town working for big chunks of time August though December, and then the holidays, we were unable to work on the CD until recently. We are back, though, and have some studio dates scheduled for February. We'll be putting down some of the vocal tracks then, while we're still working on some new stuff in the rehearsal studio.
Slowly but steadily, I have been fulfilling the non-CD rewards of your pledges. The potholders had to be backburnered for a while because I sprained my wrist falling off a porch in Provincetown while I was there in September with the Tennessee Williams festival, but it's almost completely healed now, so I'll be getting my crochet hook back out any time now. If I owe you potholders, please send me your color choices, if I don't already have them. If I owe you anything at all that isn't the actual CD, write to me either here or at minkkick@gmail.com and I will take care of it right away.
When the campaign ended, Kickstarter provided me with all of your email addresses, but not your physical adressess, so be sure to include them. Also your phone number if what we're doing is phone calls or texts.
Again, thank you all so much for your support. You are the best people in the world.

Update #10: WE MADE IT! YAY! I LOVE YOU ALL!
Dear Friends,
I am so happy to tell you that at 4:09 this morning, we officially crossed the 100%-funded line. You cannot know how thankful I am to each and every one of you who made this happen. And we still have 9 days to go!
As a sort of celebratory toast, I'm giving you all a free download of "Sometimes I Wish I Had A Gun." Think of it as a musical glass of champagne that I'm raising in your honor. This is over and above and separate from any pledge rewards -- it's just a tiny token of my enormous appreciation. I'll also be giving the download to any new backers through the end of the campaign.
Each of you will be getting a separate code for the download (with instructions) so it may take me a few days to get them all out to you. I'll be starting from the first backers (June 9) and working forward.
I still have personal thank you messages to write to our most recent backers, but I just couldn't wait to tell you.

As an actor I’ve worked with filmmaker John Waters since the world wore diapers. For my whole filmography, just check out IMDB – it’s mostly right. I've been singing and performing one-woman shows with my Wonderful Band for the last few years, A track I recorded, “Sometimes I Wish I Had A Gun,” was released in 2008 on the compilation disk “A Date With John Waters.”
