A multi-media one man stage show using the images, videos and words of a first generation 20th century American family.
By David Schlosser
“Their Century” is a multi-media one man stage show, conceived, written and performed by Minneapolis actor David Schlosser. In 1908 David’s grandfather Peter Schlosser, a German from Russia, fled the Russian Revolution and immigrated to North Dakota. In 2010 David sat down and interviewed 5 of Peter’s children as to what it was like growing up through the 20th century. Through the images, videos and words of these interviews, David tells the story of who we are as an immigrant nation through the eyes of this one family.
Their Century will premiere at the Minnesota Fringe Festival in August 2012. Your contribution will help bring this production to life. Funds raised through this campaign will go primarily to pay the creative team (the director, stage manager and original music composer), with a small amount going toward advertising, sets and costumes. Contributing to this project not only helps to create a cutting edge new theatrical production, but also goes a long way to support this talented group of always underpaid theatre artists!
