Simon's incredible journey is documented in this book. From being on the verge of superstardom as one of North Americas best young soccer players, Simon was originally turned down for a heart transplant in his native Canada. Read about the dramatic life saving operation in England and how Simon climbed back up to the top of the mountain once again by becoming one of North Americas best soccer players even while playing with someone else's heart inside his chest. This riveting book will capture your own heart as Simon, 25 years after receiving the gift of life, makes the pilgrimage with his family to seek out the donor family of the young man who tragically lost his life at 17 years old. The coincidences and truly miraculous events that Simon discovers on this trip will shake even the toughest humans right down to their core.
A true, almost unbelievable, story of human achievement, hope, luck, family and love. A tale of a father and a son and a father and son....and how one heart brought them all together...
ABOUT THE BOOK
The book is currently being written by a nationally recognized published sports biographer (name to be released at a later date). The still unnamed SIMON KEITH STORY should be completed and ready for publishing in early spring of 2012.
OUR GOAL FOR THE BOOK
Simply put, we want to get the story out to as many people as possible. It is a story of hope, and love, and family all centered around the game of soccer/football. We plan to promote the book through the publishing house and Simon will engage in speaking events and book signings as a way to inspire people.
