We've gathered a strong team of game industry vets and our project is now in the semi-finals for the Atari Indie Developer Challenge!
Hello internet friends!
We've raised a powerful team of video game industry engineers, artists and producers to rally behind a project we call IRL PONG. An entry for the Atari Indie Developer Challenge:
http://www.atari.com/pongdeveloperchallenge
We're the team behind an extremely unique and ambitious project and we're happy to announce that we've made it into the semi-finals. 19 other teams of talented individuals will be building their product up to prototype phase and filming a trailer to submit for judgement on June 5th.
I've gathered a passionate and awesome team, but as we continue development we're needing to foot some costs. Your help will allow us to make this project happen.
I'm seeking donations to take us through costs for the next two months of development. Our goal is to raise $2,000 to cover expenses related to software purchases, hardware, travel, and misc. costs. In the next few days, we'll establish a Twitter feed where we will publicly post all of our expenditures so you know where your donation is going. In addition to this, all donations will be repaid if we win the contest. We're also offering some unique prizes for donations, please check them out!
The team behind this project is passionate, we're all set to make this happen and we want you to be involved. Every bit helps and by donating, I will insure that you become part of the exciting world of game development. Come help us build the next generation of Pong!

One extremely gracious person who donates $500 will have the opportunity to name the team. Yes, I haven't picked a name yet, everything related to the project is under team "Andrew Sipotz" which isn't terribly catchy at all. There are some obvious limitations, like it can't be very dirty. This name will appear in any press or media that we do and any chance I get I'll single you out as the person who believed in us so hard that we let you name us.

Big prize for the person who donates the most. We'll actually put you in the game. Players can go into the options menu and select "Play <your name> mode" and this will transform the Pong ball into a picture of your face. We'll also work with you to make sure that your "mode" is completely done the way you want it to be; music, graphics, everything.
