Dear Friends,

After much toiling away and long uncertain hours within my Brooklyn studio, oppurtunity has finally presented itself! Upon a recent viewing of my work, curator Michael Rade has awarded me with a chance to showcase my work in his Berlin gallery, STYX Project Space. www.styx-berlin.de. I have been given a chance to present my body of work as a whole in a formal setting, from my paintings of birds and landscapes, to my figurative allegorical work which attempts to explore the deeper regions of consciousness. The solo exhibition will run from October 7th through 28th, 2010.

The goal of STYX Project Space is such: "Refuting both the trend-seeking affirmations of the global art market and the impersonality of the white-walled institution..."

As with many avant garde spaces and emerging artists, funds are incredibly limited. Money raised through Kickstarter will cover the cost of shipping my paintings from New York to Berlin, the publication of an exhibition catalog, and airfare and housing expenses for the month of October while I promote my work.
