BOOKS ARE ALMOST HERE!

Update #14 · Dec 16, 2011 · 1 comment

We collated over 500 hundred books on Tuesday night and sent them off to the bindery.

Gary and I are getting together in the next day or two to fold and place all of the dust jackets. THIS IS GETTING SO REAL. See some of you Sunday night at Holocene!

Also, just launched the official SMP website.  Check it out here:

Hello, everyone!

Thanks again so much for helping to make the FUCKING JAMES FRANCO project happen.  Your friends at Container Corps and Social Malpractice Publishing are working diligently this week to finish all printing and get the books assembled and off to the bindery.  We're looking forward very much to our launch party this coming Sunday.  If you're in the Portland area, please stop by!  We'll have a table where backers can pick up their copy of the book (other rewards will be mailed out in January).

Here are the details:

New Press Shout Outs

Update #12 · Nov 23, 2011 · comment

Hello, backers!

I'm pleased to announce that we've received some more digital press for the publication.  Check out these new links:

The Sundance Channel picks FUCKING JAMES FRANCO as a "Best of" on Kickstarter, and cites a lyric from the tune that I wrote.

Portland's Willamette Week calls FUCKING JAMES FRANCO its favorite Kickstarter campaign yet.

The Portland Mercury's Matt Stangel interviewed me last Friday and posted this great write up on their blog, featuring a few of his favorite samples from the contributions.

New Reward Added!

Update #10 · Nov 17, 2011 · comment

With the onslaught of viral press today courtesy of the Onion, Gothamist, Videogum and BlackBook, we've decided to add in another incentive/reward for the pledges.  You can check out the rewards on the main page as usual, but you'll now notice that at $25, $50 and $100, there are variations on what you can receive.  Don't worry - if you've already pledged one of those amounts and want the newer variation, we will accommodate that when we send out the backer survey for your shipping information (provided that we meet our goal).

Mirror Poster of James Franco Making Out with Himself!

Surely, you're all familiar with this iconic image of Franco.  And you likely saw on the previous update video from the studio visit with Container Corps that we've scored some paper that LOOKS LIKE A GODDAMNED MIRROR.

Gary Robbins and I are pleased to announce that we'll be doing a limited-edition original screenprint version of this image on the mirrored paper for anyone who pledges at those levels.  WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOA!
