In-Rooms is debuting a selection of polaroids & darkroom prints at my first gallery exhibition on May 17th.

A HISTORY

For the past year I have been studying traditions of analog photography --  learning techniques in the darkroom, developing all my film at a high quality photo lab and using polaroids to test my ideas and lighting setups. All of my shoots this year were produced and creatively directed by myself with the hopes of one day having the opportunity to showcase in a gallery my love for analog photography, narratives, and stories that exists In-Rooms.

I was beyond thrilled when asked to present 16 of my polaroids and 4 of my darkroom prints at the GROUNDLINE group exhibition, and greatly would appreciate your help to make this dream of mine possible! The cost are currently too high for me to produce alone as I am still settling into my big move to New York City. All funds will go toward printing, mounting & framing my images along with film and shipping costs.

WHAT MY PROJECT IS ABOUT

IN-ROOMS - "Serenade Sublimina"

YEAR 1: March2011-March2012

Serenade Sublimina, "sing to the subconscious", showcases a selection of images from my first year of photography. It is a narrative saturated with visions of faded memories and haunted dreams. In this world of uncertainty, these women react to the absence of societal structures through the medium of isolated rooms. They embrace non-linear desires of the past, present & future, driving the subconscious to welcome unrestricted possibilities.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

I would greatly appreciate any help that can go towards the costs of printing, framing & mounting these images. Every little bit goes a long way! $700 is the minimum cost to cover my show expenses and any amount over will go toward the costs of producing the work in the exhibit. All of my B&W negatives are being printed on museum exhibition quality Fiber paper, mounted and framed in San Francisco. My polaroids are also being individually framed. I have spent over a year producing and collecting work for this show and am highly anticipating the opportunity to share my story.
