Gates to Eisenwald are open!
It’s official – Legends of Eisenwald will be made!
Thank you all, our great and amazing 2729 backers! Thank you who just backed our project, thank you for all our active backers who spread the word about us and thank you who didn’t get upset with 4 letters sent to them :) Thank you Kickstarter that it exists and helps bring to life many different projects.
This month brought us a lot of new experiences. We answered to the questions of journalists, wrote press releases and compiled press packs, argued a lot about new ideas how to attract new backers. We followed how our project was becoming more popular and read on forums what is written about us and participated in some of the forums ourselves. We got used to that and we have to admit we are going to miss Kickstarter!
Also, while we didn’t reach our stretch goal at 85k, the hope is not lost! Maybe we will get the missing amount through Paypal and Yandex money. And since castle assault was more popular, maybe we can even get to that goal there.
Soon our communication will be better when we update our site and open a forum where all of you are invited.
Special thank you:
- Stoic – for calling their fellow-in-arms to help us in the difficult moment;
- Crate Entertainment – for helpful advice and interest to our project;
- Thilo Bayer – for huge help in conquering German (and not only) information space;
- Aleksey Podgoredsky - for being our main PR person in Russia and helping us already starting long before our Kickstarter campaign;
- Amy – for supporting us and for a lot of very useful information;
- ThunderStorm – for filling our sails with wind in the beginning;
- Daniel Defo (danieldefo.ru) and all his peers – for believing in our dream. This site did fundraising for us and they brought in $2000;
- $2000 backers – that they decided to “settle” in Eisenwald by making it better;
- Daniel King aka Darklord, Ben Waxman, Archon and all who was active – for your enthusiasm and believing in us. We will do everything we can to not disappoint you, we promise!
It seems there is a good tradition at Kickstarter – finishing a project to recommend someone else. These are small indie games that could use some help, big and famous will get their funding anyway. We like these projects and we backed them:
Cross of the Dutchman: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/251995184/cross-of-the-dutchman This dramatic legend is from the real past. And it’s going to be told by people who are truly enthusiastic about it.
Kitaru: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bensteele/kitaru Even though we are not fans of jRPG but their futuristic setting and art look spellbinding! And like us they are a small studio that wants to make a game of their dreams.
Kinetic Void: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/seanpollman/kinetic-void - We like ships. And in this game you can build them. Space ships, but nevertheless!
One more time – thank you all! Until we see you again – both here and in our forum!

Any information available on when we get a copy of Discord Times?
Creator Darklord on May 25, 2012
@Aura, I think the trouble was most of Europe was asleep in it's final hours.
Creator Aura on May 23, 2012
I was actually quite disappointed we didn't hit the $85K mark - I truly believed there would be enough "love" for Aterdux and LoE in the last hours to at least make that mark.
Keeping my fingers crossed PayPal will bring in more than a modest amount - you guys so deserve it.
Creator Aterdux Entertainment on May 23, 2012
Cooperation - yes! We also like the word "diversity". Not just for games, but for many other things. But in games it's good to see some original work and Kickstarter does provide a great platform for that. In a way, we continue good tradition started by Stoic - without their support things would have looked very different.
PR is something that we underestimated, unfortunately it's not enough to just have a good game. But we learned a lot! :)
Creator Roq on May 22, 2012
It's really great to see the generosity of the Indie developers to each other. That's one of the great things about this new model of funding for me. It suggests that cooperation might be just as valid a market force as competition and maybe that's a lesson that has some wider applications in our societies.
OTH, there still seem to be some publicity problems for Kickstarter projects. It's a bit sad to see projects that look really cool such as Kinetic Void struggling for funding.
Creator Aterdux Entertainment on May 22, 2012
Yes, we will continue updating both here and in the forums.
@Pasha - Linux version will be there! :)
Creator Pasha on May 22, 2012
I'll wait linux version ^_^

@TheChosenOne, the stretch goal hasnt been reached (yet) but there still accepting pledges on paypal and Yandex to go twords the stretch goal they just havent stated how long they will keep those going to count twords the stretch goals
Creator Daryl Putman on May 22, 2012
Please do continue to update here and not solely on your site/forums. As someone who's supported more than a few KS projects, it's unwieldy to check them all out even semi-regularly.
Creator Ben Waxman PA-C on May 22, 2012
Thanks for the kind words! I congratulate Aterdux for an excellent campaign! Can't wait for the game!
And as a shout out to small projects in need of support, Hoplomachus: the Lost Cities is a tactical gladiatorial boardgame with cool art, poker chips, and great production value. Take a look!!!
Creator TheChosenOne on May 22, 2012
Has the 85k goal been reached? Or can it still be reached?
Creator shayne.oneill on May 22, 2012

Congratulations !
Now go to work :D
Creator Peter Holthaus on May 22, 2012
I'm really happy I found this and could jump on at the last day.
Funny thing: I'm already a backer of Kinetic Void (yay for spaceships!) and for Cross of the Dutchman (they're more or less neighbors and want to tell a true story with a look into live back in the old times which weren't that good).
Creator Thilo Bayer on May 22, 2012
Thx Aterdux for the kind words. A big thanks also to the guys that offered a translation of Eisenwald!
Creator Praudmur on May 22, 2012
We did it! =) Heh problem with 4 letters is not yours - it is mail service problem i think. Guys from Bionite project also sent 4-5 mails to backers because of error in mail service - was it kickstartes mail service ? If yes than problem is in it.
