About this project
What we want to do
With Tic Tac Toe Ten we would like to promote the elements of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) in K-12 settings. We would like to get the next generation of learners comfortable with logical reasoning, critical thinking, and problem solving. These are skills that are invaluable in this ever increasing digital economy.
How we plan to do it
We sell Tic Tac Toe Ten as a board game and also as an app (iPhone/iPad, Android). We accomplish our goal by hosting talks and tournaments at schools, libraries, and after-school programs. We teach teachers how to administer our products and show them how to extract academic principles from this casual gaming environment that we create. Once that transfer is complete we have successfully added another group into the pipeline and we move on to the next school to replicate it all over again.
What the money is for
We are dreaming big and want to make Tic Tac Toe Ten into a household name (just as Tic Tac Toe is a household name). In order to do this we have to go out into the field and market the idea of the project to kids, teachers, and parents. To do this we are traveling to education conferences and similar events that allow us to showcase our vision and products. Money will be used to continue printing up the board sets, to help out with development costs for the apps, and finally to help defray some of the cost of traveling to the conferences and conventions.
