I've been a keen Artist and Martial Artist for most of my life, Black Belt High is a combination of these two passions. I trained to become a Commercial Artist when I left school at 17 years old and I'm still in the profession thirty-six years later. My Martial Arts training began as a 12 year old and today I run my own Martial Arts school in London.

Black Belt High #1 will be a 24 page full color comic. It will also be the first step towards me producing a graphic novel not just filled with great adventures of a mystical Martial Arts school but packed with realistic self defense techniques with children in mind.

For the last ten years in one form or another, Black Belt High comic strips have appeared inside online Martial Art newsletters that were sold and distributed to Martial Art schools.

The money I'm asking for will pay the artist who will ink and color my pencils and cover the printing costs.

If I am successful in raising the funds for this project, after #1 has been published, I will go all out to have the entire graphic novel completed.

The challenge I have is my tardiness in writing, pencilling, inking, coloring and lettering the entire stories. Therefore, employing the services of a professional inker and colorist (hence the need for fundraising) ensures that the work is produced on time.
