With each production we at Green T Productions stretch ourselves a little farther and tease out what is possible.  Visionary artistic director Kathy Welch draws on inspirations from far afield to train and inspire actors and then overlay that work on performers pre-existing talents and training to create something wholly new.

With 'The Hobbit' we will draw together professionals from all walks of theater to create a Middle Earth unlike any you've seen before with shades of Japanese Noh, Butoh and Kabuki, and Spanish Flamenco styles. These disparate influences demonstrating the vitality and variety in our world societies.  To make that world as rich as possible, however, we'll face hefty production costs.  

Set, lighting, costume and sound design and implementation, make up and props - none of them comes free and then we've got the mundane realities of rent, printing costs and publicity to think about before we even consider paying for the talents of our director, stage manager and performers.

If we make our kickstarter goal we'll be about halfway to meeting the costs of  rehearsal and space rental, enough to make the downpayments we need and start properly assembling our resources.  More than that and we'll be able to increase our production values and hire amazing talent to bring those visions to life.
