Fat Dragon Games was founded in the spring of 2005 by Tom Tullis and produces a wide range of gaming products, most notable being our downloadable PDF terrain sets designed for the beginner paper modeler. Since our launch, we have built a worldwide reputation for our customer service and the helpful, friendly community of customers who frequent our forums and contribute to product development.
Will you have stats available for the Lost World mechs from a while back? They could be printed at a reduced scale to make them 15mm.
Yes it is, looking like it'll be around the 20th or so. Check our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fat-Dragon-Games/106329259408079 for previews starting this week!
Is this still on track for a febuary 2012 release?
I think I need to clarify my answer below. Any and all new expansion sets, regardless of if they are offered through our website as a normal release or if they are offered through Kickstarter, will be free to the top tier supporters. What I will have to determine later is if future expansions will be offered through our website only, or if we will put them up on Kickstarter first as a sort of presale with some bonuses attached. Still too early to make a decision on that, but no matter where an expansion set is sold through, it will indeed be free to the top tier supporters.
Those at the $200 level will get the standard expansion release for free. I will have to figure out if and how we will be handing future Kickstarters for expansion sets and see about throwing in some of those exclusives as well possibly. We just now began looking into Kickstarter for the expansions so I'm not 100% certain how it will be handled.
Tom,
How will subsequent expansion kickstarter projects affect those on the highest support tier currently?
I hadn't originally planned on any of the expansion sets being Kickstarter projects, but we've had a lot of requests for that, and I really like the idea of offering special rewards to customers who support us early in these projects, so I think we will.
Will the troop expansion be a kickstarter project as well?
Will expansion be sold through kickstarter as well? Also, I agree that this should have a Board Game Geek (BGG) entry!!
The base game includes mechs and tanks. troop expansion is already in play testing and will be one of the early expansion sets coming out.
Are the rules going to include rules for humans, tanks, planes, etc., or just mechs?
The game is 15mm scale, so a human would be about half an inch or so. Mechs are in the 4" height range for the most part.
Out of curiosity, what is the relative scale of the game? How tall would a human figure be in te game?
I imagine you could use the dividers that they have in ornament boxes. In fact, I imagine they make those things deep enough that you could lay cardboard on top and have stacked storage.
The mechs are all 4" or less in heights, so any box will do. Since they are very lightweight all I do is have a small piece of masking tape rolled up on the bottom of the box for each one and stick them to that for storage, so they don't shift in the box.
Any idea on what would be the best way for storage ?
I posted a notice in their press release area, but there are so many it gets easily lost:

Is there a reason this game is not listed on Board Game Geek? It might attract even more support if listed there.
Don't worry, Mark. Cardstock folds great once it's scored, and Tom keeps his geometry very simple.
Oh I am such a sucker for Wierd War II games! I agree with Brett, you had me at mechs too! Throw in crazy Nazi's and this game looks like a winner! :-)
Can't wait the moment to get my hands on this!!!!
Can't wait to play this, it looks fantastic.
Should be a fun game. And don't worry if you aren't an origami master, Tom makes his stuff very easy to build. Check out his beginners' guide on the FDG website if you're curious how these sorts of models are done.
you had me at mechs
This looks awesome, interesting back story too.
To bad I can't fold paper models to save my life.
