Shallow Palace and Sleepy Eye Giant are looking to raise funds for the recording, mixing and promoting their 12" vinyl split Mamushka.
Who Are You & What Is a "Split"?
Shallow Palace and Sleepy Eye Giant have been playing shows together for the past few years throughout South Carolina. With complementary sound and an ever-growing friendship, we decided to test the waters of touring together this past May, and it was a hit!
This success sparked a new idea. Since we are both such big fans of each other, why not put out a vinyl record together! If we are going to put out a vinyl record, why not tour together to support it? Well, this is where you come in. We are looking to raise $2500 to cover costs for recording, mixing and pressing a vinyl record so we can promote and tour to support it.
What is Mamushka?
Mamushka is the dance of brotherly love. It also happens to be the name we have decided on for our split record. For a great example of this, we have included a clip from The Addams Family Movie where this dance is so expertly portrayed.
Where Are You Guys?
Sleepy Eye Giant is from Charleston, SC. Shallow Palace originated in Columbia, SC but now has a member in Greenville, SC and in Athens, GA.
Will This Album Take Over The World?
It is highly possible that you are funding an album that could take over humanity. We promise if you donate that nothing ill will come of you. We have a lot of good promotion and have organized good press and radio contacts to get this in the hands of the right people, we just need the product to deliver to them.

Sure. I mean, if you were to pick one of our own songs that you happen to really enjoy it would probably be your best bet. If there is a cover you have heard us do, that would be a good pick too. If you want to pick "Don't Worry, Be Happy" by Bobby McFerrin you certainly can, but we can not guarantee precision performance.

This is a situation where you would go to see one of our shows, and when the doorman asks you for money you say "Nah man, I'm on the list." He will ask for your name, and next to name it will say "+1".
This means that you can bring a date or just bring a friend. Maybe meet someone outside who is walking in and ask them, "Would you like to be my +1?" This is a sure fire way to sweep someone off their feet.
