Announcing Stretch Goal #5!
Good job, Kickstarters! Your support in the past several days has been phenomenal, and so long as the pledges keep rolling in at this rate, there's a very good chance that we'll reach the $175,000 mark, in which case we'll expand the printed Thornkeep book to include the additional dungeon levels by Jason Bulmahn, James Jacobs, and Erik Mona!
But we still think you can take this further, which is why we're announcing a new stretch goal: if we reach $200,000, we'll add one final dungeon level to both the PDF and the printed book—and for this level, we've tapped the legendary Ed Greenwood! Ed is of course best known as the creator of D&D's Forgotten Realms, but he already knows his way around the Pathfinder Campaign Setting. In fact, as part of our Kingmaker Adventure Path, he has already created several new monsters and adventure sites in the River Kingdoms region, home to Pathfinder Online!
We've only got a few short days to blast through $175,000 to $200,000, so keep getting the word out!

So if we could get Ed to agree to it how much would it cost to send close to 800 copies of the book to him for signing, because if its a reasonable price (anything close to a thousand) i would probably be able to pay just to do it.
Creator Darran Caldemeyer on June 6, 2012
Thanks for the quick response. Will something be added shoulder get to 3000 backers? Just curious is all.
Creator Goblinworks Inc. on June 6, 2012
Darran, 96 pages has only even been an estimate, but given the word count we're assigning, even with Ed's contribution, it would still be more likely than the other two options (80 or 112). That is to say, we have flex in the layout—especially in the "behind the scenes" section—to fit more overall words into the same number of pages.
Creator Darran Caldemeyer on June 6, 2012
Should the $200,000 dollar marker be reached, will the page count of the book be increased passed 96 pages?
Creator Joshua Villines on June 6, 2012
Maybe a bookplate of game art signed by Ed?
Creator Earl Gendron on June 6, 2012
@Wade, yup Ed's Canadian
Creator Wade Nolen on June 6, 2012
Another *country*?!!
Wow! I didn't *know* that! ... kind of cool, though. :)
Creator Geoffrey Peart on June 6, 2012
Well said, I suppose I'll just have to get my own signed, but that is only because your response is actually the exact opposite of my state :)
Creator Goblinworks Inc. on June 6, 2012
The others all live within 20 minutes of Goblinworks HQ; Ed lives in another country.
Creator Geoffrey Peart on June 6, 2012
And Ed should that become relevant?
Creator Goblinworks Inc. on June 6, 2012
We are likely looking at a 96-page book... and it will be autographed by at Rich, Jason, James, and Erik, plus the Goblinworks crew.
Creator Geoffrey Peart on June 6, 2012
Like others have said, these stretch goals have certainly pushed a lot of $5 to the the $15 level, and for myself I bumped from the $15 up to $50 once we started nearing the 175k goal. I wonder if you amended the $75 level from Rich & the Goblin team to Rich, The Goblin Team, and all the Dungeon Authors (whose tiers have been reached.) Then you will push a lot of us $50 folks all the way to $75.
Creator Earl Gendron on June 6, 2012
Most likely it would change from a 64 page to a 96 page book. So add 10 pages per level... maybe a bit more if we reach 200.000... maybe then it would be 128 page book.
Creator Keith Scherer on June 6, 2012
Is there any idea of approximately how big in pages the expanded dungeon will be? As I understood the original idea, about 32 pages would be dedicated to Thornkeep, the surrounding area and the first dungeon level. Three more levels have been added and possibly a 4th if the latest stretch goal is met. It might help get pledges if the size of the book is known.
Creator William on June 6, 2012
Dang now would be the best time to win the lottery.
Creator Sam Merry on June 6, 2012
Getting Ed's signature onto the print copy would likely be a real pledge grabber, the man is a legend of the gaming world, up there with Dave Arneson and Gary Gygax.
Creator David Cheatham on June 5, 2012
i hope this comes to pass... sounds amazing and that wasn't technicaly a no... just that it would be tricky perhaps more than 75 dollar pledges tricky....
Creator Novakolbra on June 5, 2012
Shame, Ed is the man and I know a lot of people on team Greenwood that would pledge just for his John Hancock.
Creator Goblinworks Inc. on June 5, 2012
Ed isn't local, so arranging his autograph would be tricky. All of the other authors are local, though!
Creator Novakolbra on June 5, 2012
Will the expanded book be autographed by Ed Greenwood as well? with the $75 pledge
Creator Matthew Middleton on June 5, 2012
I have some friends who use video / computer games to get away from others. They are classic introverts. Will Pathfinder on line be able to be played solo for those who like to play alone? If so, I think I may be able to get a few more backers.
Creator Phillip Wallace on June 5, 2012
Hmmm, I don't have the wall space for the poster, but a t-shirt would be interesting (was there somewhere where you can see what's going to be on the t-shirt?). Having always been a fan of the realms, I'd welcome Ed's input. If you actually get closer to $200k, I can see myself bumping up the donation.
Creator Jeff Scroggs on June 5, 2012
Once we start getting closer to the $175k marker, some of us that are in for $15 may bump up to the $50 for the expanded book.
Creator Elliott Canada on June 5, 2012
Quite a bit if 2000 + backers upper their pledges 5 to 20 a piece. an observation on motivation .
Creator Brian Holtsclaw on June 5, 2012
Good luck PFO! 1st Kickstarter donation here also.
Creator Elliott Canada on June 5, 2012
If there were more goals added on the side bar between goals I might raise my $100 to a $125 or something like that. and someone paying 50 might go up to 60. Its not much, but itreally would add up to
Creator Goblinworks Inc. on June 5, 2012
If we manage to maintain the current average per day of $5850 for the remaining three days, we'll top out at right around $182,000.
They're called "stretch" goals for a reason!
Creator Robert Beasley on June 5, 2012
I thoroughly support this project and want to see it succeed with every bit of gamer in me. Yet, at the risk of sounding nay-sayer, going from the current donation of $165,000 up to $175,000 and adding another $25,000 on top of that is just insane. If you do it, I don't know what else to say about Pathfinder's overall ability. I will be speechless.
Creator Coldman on June 5, 2012
Oh my.
