24K!!! Awesome work and congrats to everyone. Fleet is still moving along and we are very excited to see where it goes over the next 27 days (27! that is forever...).We have an announcement about the 30K stretch goal below, but before that, welcome the Nunavut Weather Authority to Fleet! This card is something that a lot of you have asked (and voted!) for and an idea Ben and I had looked at during the design process. Well, you spoke, we listened! Ben and I went to the Fleet archives and dug up HURRICANE! We adjusted and played and tested to make sure it would balance with the game AND use the awesome Fleet die. Here is the outcome:

Nunavut Weather Authority

1) Calm Seas!

2-4) All other players lose 1 fish

5) All other player lose 2 fish

Fleet/6) HURRICANE - All other players lose a boat!

Which fish/boat(s) are lost will always be chosen by the owner of the Nunavut Weather Authority license. Its a fun card that Ben and I have enjoyed bringing back to life! We will have awesome Eric J Carter art to show off later this week.

Now, for the 30K goal Team Fleet would like to upgrade the license cards! We experimented in proto with larger cards for the licenses and it was successful but restrictive for production. Hitting 30K will actually allow us to make it a permanent production change. We are going to scale them back from the Gigantor cards of the protos, but still make them stand out and allow for easy reading of the icons and text. As Ben and I (and the entire Eagle and Gryphon team) continue to be astounded by all the support, we hope that our fantastic backers will not mind if we share the love with the future Fleet buyers and get bigger license cards into Fleet for good! As always, thank you! We are blessed to shared this experience with all of you.

Matt and Ben

i also really like the idea of a card with a gamble for everyone (including the person who played it), would make the risk/reward all the more intense :-)

WHAT IF THE OTHER PLAYERS LOSS OF A BOAT WAS "SOMEWHAT" OFFSET BY YOU ALSO LOOSE A FISH AND/OR (WHAT I THINK MAKES THEMATIC SENSE) YOU CAN'T FISH THIS TURN/ROUND (IF YOUR SAVING YOUR BOATS BY WATCHING THE WEATHER YOUR PROBABLY NOT FISHING)
      JUST A THOUGHT

@ Matt > When Hurricanes come, I don't think Fisherman can just take the ships out of the water. Even if they know it's comin. Just Sayin.... Congrats so far. I really look forward to this game!

The final upsizing will be around 76 x 107mm depending on final scaling but will be sleevable by, for example, the mayday 80mm x 120mm sleeves

They can still make the cards larger with the ability to sleeve them, as long as they use a size they make sleeves for like 69mm x 69mm or 65mm x 100mm. Anywhere between those sizes will fit as well. No worries I think, bigger than that would be really big...weird big.

What size would the larger license cards be? I sleeve cards in my games, so cards in an un-sleeveable size tend to annoy me greatly. I realize your looking at aiding the flow of game-play, but this is a concern I'm sure others share as well.

I don't know... I like Andrew's idea. There should be an element of risk to it... that way it MOSTLY screws over other players, but might hurt you as well.

He controls the weather authority, so he knew it was coming!

Shouldn't the hurricane make all players lose a boat? Including the die roller?
