Update #6: Last two weeks plus a link roundup
If you haven't already been to the cart, get thee down to NW 12 & Davis today! This Friday and the next are the last days for me to be in my regular spot in front of the P-I-E incubator space. All rewards to backers need to be picked up by next week.
If you haven't already seen, the media has been very good to me. Here's a roundup of recent coverage.

Joe Smith of KGW came and filmed last Friday but haven’t posted the video on their site yet. Did anyone by slim chance record it? I'd like to have a copy.

We're open. Laadeedaa. We're open. Happy dance.
Finally I opened last Friday. This Friday again I'll be serving pie and ice cream. All rewards for backers can be collected at the cart. If I owe you a full pie, please give me at least a couple day's notice so I can make sure to have your flavor ready.

This week's menu: classic cherry, rhubarb, and blackberry cobbler. If last week was any indication, get there early before everything is gone.
Lastly, if you please, I'd love to have your vote to see me present my findings at SXSW:

Update #2: big news: location, name, debut
In other great news, I had a meeting yesterday with Renny Gleeson of Wieden + Kennedy. He gave his enthusiastic permission to set up on the sidewalk outside of their agency (NW 12th at Davis) in the lovely Pearl district. Renny said "come on, let's go upstairs" and before I knew it I was telling the story of the pie cart to Dan Wieden. As it turns out, Dan is a HUGE fan of pie, so much so that he shuts down the agency once a year for a pie-baking contest. Guess who's the judge.
W+K has a space dedicated to start ups named Portland Incubator Experiment (PIE) that Renny heads up. He claims he named it PIE because he knew Dan would sign off on it if that was the name. I also found out that Dan has always wanted them to served actual pie, so when I came along... magic!
There's just something eternally wonderful about pie and conversation.
In other wonderful news... After a lovely conversation with John Bielenberg of PieLab in Greensboro, AL this week and he's given his blessing to use the name. I'm very grateful to have his support.
Lastly (yes there's more!) I'll be debuting the pie cart at 30 Hour Day in Pioneer Courthouse Square the weekend of July 2/3! More details at 30hourday.org
Onward and upward,
