THE PROJECT:

This film is about an unexpected friendship. It’s a family drama with adventure and fantasy in the vein of "E.T." and "Monsters Inc." Several Production Companies have expressed interest in making the feature, so we’re shooting an introductory teaser. We have a full team that has donated their time and energy because they believe in this project. The funding will go directly into making the movie. It will cover expenses like set construction, permits, locations, and more. 

This is a true passion project and labor of love with an amazing creative group of people, Krystal Harris (Co-Story By & Casting Director), Roger Ubina (Producer), Jeff Dotson & Evan Laffin (VFX Dot & Effects *Won 2011 VMA For Best Visual FX - Katy Perry feat. Kanye West 'E.T.'), Melissa Llewellyn (Production Manager), and Robert Devine (Puppet Designer - Anatomorphex Studios).

SYNOPSIS: 

This coming of age story centers around a ten-year-old boy named Zach. He’s become disconnected and lost all his zest after a traumatic experience changes his family forever. Zach needs to find inner-courage to be happy again, but he's lost in remorse. He’s the brother, son, student, and friend that everyone loves, but now has made himself an outcast. He befriends a Monster he discovers in his bedroom, that shows him it’s okay to be a kid again. This story is a heart felt adventure that redefines the meaning of friendship.

Booked our Lead: We're excited to announce that Maxim Knight, star of the Steven Spielberg Executive Produced TNT Drama "Falling Skies," has signed on for the lead of Zach in "The Mysterious Closet."

HOW KICKSTARTER WORKS:

People pledge whatever they can. We have 35 days to make our goal. If the total reaches $12,000 then the credit cards of those who pledged will be charged. If we don't get there then no one will be charged. If we exceed the goal, and fingers are seriously crossed, then any extra funds will be used to make the film even better. All of the funds raised will be used only for the film.
