We have assembled a motivated team of talented artists, designers, and programmers that are truly passionate about making the best gaming experience possible.

We have all decided to put our efforts toward Fabled Fortress, so let us tell you a bit about our vision and what we intend to create with the help from our backers at Sourcebits and even more so from YOU!

Here is a brief summary of Fabled Fortress...      

Fabled Fortress is a hybrid strategy game that allows you to build, manage, and defend the kingdom of your dreams. Rule your peasants, embark on quests for rare loot with fellow monarchs, and annihilate your friends’ kingdoms with apocalyptic spells and ruthless armies all before lunch! It’s good to be king.

Game types:

• Real-Time Strategy
• Tower Defense
• City Building/Management

Initial release on iOS followed by Android, PC, & Mac.

• 9 characters to aid you in the single player campaign
• 6 chapters with 36 missions for approximately 10 hours of gameplay
• Faction-specific playable units and buildings
• 4 factions: Humans, Elves, Orcs, and Undead
• Over 40 3D buildings 
• Over 25 units including melee, ranged, magic and boss units
• Over 30 quests provide rare loot to unlock unique buildings, units, and spells
• Devastating spells to annihilate even the strongest invasion
• Asynchronous multiplayer 

Like any other business, the games industry is all about minimizing risk and maximizing profit which unfortunately often stifles innovation and instead produces clones of the same game with different names; genre growth through innovation is often an afterthought.

Combining the best mechanics of RTS, City Management, and Tower Defense genres, Fabled Fortress offers a truly unique player experience on mobile platforms and provides a possible blueprint for the future of strategy hybrids. Unfortunately, this type of innovation is often seen as risky in the eyes of larger publishers.

That’s why we need your help.

Our Kickstarter campaign serves dual purposes: providing funding for extra development and balancing time to deliver the absolute best player experience and to serve as market validation that hybrid strategy games can and should exist on mobile platforms. Ultimately you get the final say in whether this game gets shipped. Each dollar acts as your vote to move us closer to launch.

The good news? After only a few month of development, many of the core features and assets have been implemented including 40+ buildings, 36+ campaign missions, 25+ units, 30+ quests and a slew of spells. Yes, that’s right! A lot of the game has already been completed; however, many bugs and balance issues still need to be resolved.

With the additional backing, we can expand the Elves, Orcs, and Undead to fully playable factions with their own separate campaigns as well as release the game on many more platforms.

As you can tell from our video, we are well into development and now we just to need your help to get us all to the finish line.

So if you’ve ever wondered what mixing classics such as Warcraft III, Stronghold 2, and Age of Empires on a mobile device would look and feel like, please support us and encourage your friends to participate in the discussion. Then it’s only a matter of time before you demolish their kingdoms and steal their loot. It is truly good to be king.
