Greetings wonderful Backers,

We wanted to let you know things are progressing very well now that Skilletron 2.1 is ready to go. Attached, you'll see a nice batch of fresh bottle openers. Also, we did some finishing on one to let you see what they look like before seasoning. By the way, we season the bottle openers for coloring but mainly to protect from rust. Iron does love to rust. So, that's very exciting!

We actually used different scrap then we had been using. We were concerned that the alloy used for the fleet brake rotors we bought was a much higher melt temp than typical Gray Iron. Well, we were right. If anyone needs 1 metric ton of brake rotors... let me know. We were already working on this issue, and quick as that we found a fantastic new supplier. We took a tour of Metalico of Syracuse today and they have so graciously agreed to sort cast iron pieces out for us. We did not take any pictures because we felt it'd be a bit strange. When we go back next week, we'll try to get a lot of pictures. They are going to smash the pieces we pick out with a 6 ton iron weight. If that doesn't scream video, I don't know what does.
