No I don't like coming to you with my hat in my hands, but it's time. I need help and I've got something pretty awesome I want to bring into the world.
I hope you take the time to listen to the song I wrote and recorded for this kickstarter video. It'll give you a little idea of what this is all about and what i'm trying to say.
'I Leave On The Light' is my first full length effort since Ziggy Lane in 9th grade. I am sooo close to having it done! This album is the launching point for a tour and an enormous step into the future of my dreams. Be My Kickstarter!
'I Leave On The Light' and the ensuing tour to take place this late February and early March are the realization of a lot of hard hours of work and creative process I've spent since leaving the Northeast in the fall of 2004. I've been writing songs about my feelings and confusions and disappointments and successes. Maybe I've been writing songs about you!
The song I thought nobody would want to hear, "28," is now a crowd favorite. If you haven't heard it, please go to my website
and give it a listen. I Leave On The Light is about the little things that we somehow all want to share. At least I think that's what it's about. Let me share with you, I can't wait.
With your generous donations, I am going to finish the album. By this, I mean I am going to press physical albums. I am going to put these albums in my van alongside some incredible musicians and I am going to drive them out of Texas and up the Northeast coast. I am going to make sure that there are people with pens in hand there. These people are going to then translate their shorthand into the typed page of blogs and newspapers so I can be sure to come back to these cities again and again. That's where it all starts and then it goes nationwide... Worldwide! I am going to play for more people than I've played for in my life and I am going to make a dent in what I have to be sure will be the start of a fantastic career as a touring musician.
