Mudpuppy 7" EP

Two piece alt. blues band Mudpuppy is raising funds for their upcoming 7" record. The EP will be limited to 250 pressing and will have 4 tasty tracks on it. This will be the bands 3rd release since the band formed in June 2010. All of the songs for the EP are ready to record and send in for pressing. Each record cover will be numbered and screenprinted by hand, and packaged in a cardstock sleeve keeping true to that classic 7" style. Each record will also include a free digital download of the EP, so you can listen to it on your ipod, your car, and all those all cool places you can't take your record player.

What We Need

$1000 to cover the cost of the recording, the 250 records, and the packaging. A pledge of any amount will really help us make this happen, we really can't afford to pull this one off by ourselves. The records themselves are going to cost us $695, the packaging for the records will run us $100, which will leave us $300 dollars left over to record the 4 song EP. It may cost us a little bit more than that but we will be able to cover any additional cost that may incur during the recording process. Just like always, we swear by recording "live" in the studio like bands did in the 50's and 60's. With the two of us we really strive to capture that feeling of a real live band playing right through your stereo.

Our Goal

To make a great record for all of our fans to enjoy. We're hoping that we can raise alot of the money we need just through pre selling copies of the record. This EP will contain all of our newest material that has really been pushing the boundaries as far as what blues music can be. We plan on getting copies of the record out to record stores throughout Oregon and using it to send to smaller labels that promote bands that play similar music to us.
