Update #34: Signed, Sealed, Delivered
Good news everyone! GIANT-SIZED TALES TO SUFFICE HAS JUST SHIPPED! Unless you fall in the 2% of backers for whom I'm still waiting on materials, you can expect your books to arrive in 7-10 days. We did it!
PS Warm shout out to Glenda at the North Hollywood post office for being so helpful and patient. I wasn't sure how they were going to react to me walking in with 2 Ikea bags full of packages like I was reenacting the climactic courtroom scene from Miracle on 34th Street.
Update #33: Ship Shape!
Hey guys! Just a quick update regarding your books!
As you know they've been at my house for a few weeks now, and quite frankly should have gone out already. The sketching and signing took a while, but mostly I've been waiting on all the packaging supplies to arrive. Then they did arrive, but were the wrong size, and that turned into a whole thing. So, I apologize for the delay.
But, all that's been straightened out and the books should be making their way out into the world first thing next week. Begin camping out next to your mailboxes... NOW!
Update #32: Heavy Lifting
I am pleased to report that the books have arrived home safely. GIANT-SIZED TALES TO SUFFICE IS IN THE BUILDING! More specifically, the guest bedroom.
The whole pick-up process couldn't have gone any smoother, despite my having zero experience when it comes to all things freight related. Warm shout out to my printer for helping me out with all the international shipping specifics! The only problems I encountered were my upstairs apartment and lack of muscle mass. But I suppose that can't be helped.
Not only do the books look fantastic, they're really well put together and arrived in great condition. Now, to ship them.
Update #31: They're Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere
Well, friends... Today's the day. In about 2 hours I'll be driving a U-Haul down to the Port of Los Angeles to pick up 1,000 copies of GIANT-SIZED TALES TO SUFFICE. That's 28 cartons, .88 cubic meters, 1,091 pounds of Giant-Sized Tales to Suffice that wouldn't have been possible without your help.
I'm so excited to assemble your Finkleman Fun Packs and get everything shipped out! Partially because I have nowhere to store these things. But also because YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST.
