APBC's Nutcracker needs your support to repair and create new costumes and props, and accomodate our fabulous guest artists!

American Pacific Ballet Company premiered our production of the The Nutcracker in 1998 and continues this holiday tradition today. With original choreography by Mignon Furman and international guest artists, APBC's Nutcracker kicks off the holiday season with a bang.

After auditioning, our dancers wait with bated breath to learn which parts they have been cast in. Will they follow in an older siblings footsteps? Will they get that coveted part? From our youngest dancers, just taking part in their first Nutcracker, to our oldest dancers, hoping for one final chance at a role, The Nutcracker has become a series of milestones for dancers all over the world.

But we need your help!

There are a myriad of expenses that come with staging a production of this scale. Costumes need repairing and altering, props need new coats of paint and our fabulous guest artists need airfare and accommodation. Every dollar you donate helps.

Please help us reach our goal and help us share the joy of being a part of The Nutcracker with a new generation!

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter

Our largest props are currently tucked away in a storage unit waiting to be pulled out. We are anxiously awaiting the day we see them again, hoping that they have escaped major harm in the two years they have been stored. Several years ago we pulled out our magic bed only to discover that the mattress and coverings had gotten wet and were eaten through with mildew!

If any disasters have occurred then we will need to replace or repair any damaged props.

There is also the possibility of costumes getting damaged during the three community outreach performances our cast will be participating in during Oct and Nov. Should this happen we will be making emergency repairs to those costumes.
