Update #2: We're funded!
Hey Folks,
Sorry for the slow response. I think we've all been broadsided by the holidays.
Anyhow, we are funded. I can't thank you fine people enough. You have risen to the occasion and we are in business. The Sister Death project will now move forward.
The rewards will be incrementally distributed as they are finished. Sister Death isn't slated to be released until September, so we can't send out the CDs or downloads until then. The live recording should be available soon, though.
So, I'll need email addresses and snail mail addresses for those who want their rewards. You can send as private messages through Kickstarter.
We love you all,
Alec K. Redfearn and The Eyesores.
Update #1: Rewards
I typed the rewards list when I was not quite awake and I made a few small errors. The $50 dollar reward will also include a hard copy of the CD. Also, the DVD that will be included with the $100 dollar rewards will be more elaborate and extensive than the one that will be included with the $25 dollar reward.

So, the name "Sister Death" refers to the St. Francis of Assisi quote "All praise be yours, my Lord, through Sister Death, from whose embrace no mortal can escape.". It's from his "Canticle of the Sun" which is here:

It's Catholic prayer, but to my ears, it vibes Pagan.
I first heard the quote at my grandmother's wake. My grandmother was a lay member of the Sisters of Mercy. The Sisters of Mercy, coincidentally, were the order of nuns that ran the Catholic high school I went to.
At the wake several members of the Sisters of Mercy performed this ritual which involved chanting the Sister Death quote repeatedly. Those lines have been bouncing around in my head for the past few years.
Death, in this case, is symbolic of change. Therefore, it's more uplifting than it may appear. -

Death is always more uplifting than it may appear. Depending on who died.
Alec. A suggestion. Be sure to use the entire quote somewhere in the package so the context makes sense. best

Indeed, Steve. I am planning to use the whole quote on the cover. Title on the spine.
