Crazy weekend and blah blah blah, but here we are at the $6,000 mark, and i'd like to announce Stretch Reward Alpha: DARE DETECTIVES: KULA KOLA CAPER t-shirts! Sizes S-XL. These are hand made with a little help from my friends, so there won't be a lot of them!

I'm Ben Caldwell, I draw and write and draw some more, and you can help me do it! Right now I'm finishing up my first full-color sketchbook, THE MISFITS' MANUAL. The Manual is full of designs, notes, and character stats for the Dare Detectives and some of their more notorious rogues and allies.
THE MISFITS' MANUAL!
The Dare Detectives was originally conceived as a fantasy RPG, so the Manual is set up with each character's game stats, attributes, and backstory. There are also various concept designs and evolution, along with final character art. The Manual also shows various settings and props from Dare stories, and in particular a sneak peek into the upcoming DARE DETECTIVES 2: THE KULA KOLA CAPER.
THAT'S WHERE YOU COME IN:
I usually do extremely small runs of my sketchbooks, which isn't practical with color printing. Doing this through Kickstarter backing means I can do a decent run with professional quality. In many ways, this manual is also a run-up to THE DARE DETECTIVES 2: THE KULA KOLA CAPER, which is why I'm also offering art from that book as rewards. Any money raised for THE MISFITS' MANUAL beyond printing and shipping costs will go right into inking and other expenses for that book.
THE PLAN:
The Manual will be off to the printer by the end of July, and back in my grubby hands by October. This will be the first time I'm printing something overseas, so the turnaround is a little longer than I'm used to, but the printers' books look fantastic!
ABOUT MYSELF:
For the past decade I have been a comic artist/writer, designer, and cartoonist, from the controversial Wednesday Comics: Wonder Woman to the wildly popular Action Cartooning books. When i'm not busy drawing comics, I am busy drawing comics. Seriously. I draw comics like you wouldn't believe. Well, maybe you would believe, hypothetical person.
