Support dancers in the Moving Men Series at Dixon Place Theater, claimed by NY Magazine as one the "most important theaters in NYC."

Dixon Place Theater is a non profit experimental theater in the East Village of NYC. Minimally commisioned to choreograph and present an all-male dance piece, I want to provide a stipend for each of my 5 dancers performing Totem and Taboo on March 20th, 2012.

As funding is hauntingly low in the dance and arts community, the dancers will not be compensated by the theater and I feel it necessary to provide them with some pay to encourage their professional dance careers. All funds raised will go directly to the dancers.

The development of this work is important to me as a choreographer as it stems from a personal story and examines brotherhood, the emotional path of an individual within a community, and the Male Psyche's reaction to the five stages of grief.

Generating new choreography is important to new professional dance developments, while revisiting old work clarifies a voice to my choreographic identity. Please view some early developments of the rehearsal footage above!
