My HEROES series is made up of 3 series': Jack Nicholson's personality in film, Popeye from the film, and Sammy Hagar's energy in air
I want to create 3 series' of portraits-
Sammy Hagar mid-jump (large canvas, bigger than 36"x48") throughout his career
Jack Nicholson (large drawings and paintings) depicting non-cliche`d portraits (no "Here's Johnny" imagery, for example)
Popeye (medium to large drawings and paintings) based on the 1980 film, to combine my love of Popeye with my portraiture.
I want to share how I see these people. I have begun these series, but just don't have the finances to continue. I need large canvases, brushes, paints, drawing paper (for graphite, charcoal and/or oil pastel portraits), and the space needed to work on this project.

For a pledge between $5 and $10, the pledger would get a sketch or caricature (8"x10"); For a pledge for $11-$20 a print of one of the project's paintings/drawings would be rewarded (11x14). $21-$30 pledge gets a limited edition woodblock print by me. $31-$50 gets an 8x10 oil painting or drawing of their choosing. Anything above $50 can be negotiated.
